If you’re making money and you’re incorporated, yes, you’ve got a business.

But the real goal? Building one that can run and grow without you there.

Back in September, I spent over two weeks traveling Europe with my wife and daughter.

No calls. No fires. No “quick check-ins.”

And the best part? The business didn’t just hold steady, it kept growing.

Our Chief of Staff and the team stepped in seamlessly. Clients were taken care of. Systems kept humming. Progress never paused.

That’s the true mark of a business built to last: when systems, not your presence, drive momentum.

That trip proved the foundation was solid. And while I was just away for a couple weeks, it reaffirmed a core belief of mine: if your business can’t grow for 90 days without you, it’s not built to last, it’s built to depend on you.

Why 90 days? Because that’s long enough to expose every crack— in your systems, communication, and leadership. If your business can sustain growth for a full quarter without you steering it, you’ve built something truly scalable.
