The Small Staff Forum That Delivered Big: Louisville 2025 Recap
Inside this week’s edition: your AirPods 3 raffle winner, what CHPA’s Small Staff Forum unlocked for us, and Tony's take on getting your time back and your growth forward.

Here’s what’s happening this week
Hey team,
We have a winner. 🎧
Huge congratulations to Gabriel Wacker, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Viciniti Corporate Housing, the lucky recipient of our AirPods Pro 3 raffle at CHPA’s Small Staff Forum.

But the real story? Louisville delivered.
Last week’s CHPA Small Staff Forum 2025 was one of the most impactful events we’ve attended all year: a focused, high-output room full of the exact teams Handoff was built to support.
It was Jazmin’s and my first Small Staff Forum, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the corporate housing community.
The Handoff team was on the ground, listening, learning, leading, and making connections that will shape how we continue to support our mobility, corporate housing, and relocation partners in 2026.

Here’s what’s inside this edition:

On the Ground in Louisville: CHPA Small Staff Forum 2025 Recap
Louisville brought the heat, not just in hospitality, but in the quality of conversations happening across the Small Staff Forum.
This year’s event felt particularly meaningful because of the kind of teams gathered there: small but mighty, high-output groups running corporate housing, mobility programs, and relocation operations with precision and heart.
For Handoff, this was a chance to double down on what we do best:
connecting growing teams with global-first talent who can reduce operational pressure, improve client experience, and elevate what’s possible on leaner headcount.

Some highlights from the Forum:
A room full of leaders who do more with less.
We compared notes on hiring, ops, and the systems that make scaling sustainable.Warm welcome for the whole Handoff crew.
For Jazmin and I, this was our first Small Staff Forum, and the community made it unforgettable.Big congrats to our raffle winner.
Shoutout to Gabriel Wacker, who won our AirPods Pro 3 giveaway.
Shining a light on the sponsors who keep this community moving: Prime Corporate Apartments, Domain Rental Furnishings, Flashpoint Technologies, Interim Homes Inc., Creative Housing Solutions Inc., Furniture Options, National Corporate Housing, Palmetto Linen Distributors, Inc., SuiteAmerica, Prime Time Leasing, and California Corporate Housing.
Bonus highlight: Anthony dominated the conference’s Press Your Luck game and scored a $50 gift card, which he insists is “seed funding for Q1 growth.”

We left Louisville energized, grateful, and aligned on what matters most: strong teams, strong systems, and strong relationships.
If we missed each other on-site, DM us, we’d love to reconnect this week. 💙
Tony’s Take: The Work You Keep Is the Growth You Delay
At the Small Staff Forum, one theme kept coming up again and again:
Leaders aren’t short on ideas, they’re short on the bandwidth to bring them to life.
Not because of the meaningful work, but because of the small, time-sucking tasks that pile up and steal the day.
Five hours sourcing a property. A morning lost curating a LinkedIn post. Another day buried in the tasks that feel productive but quietly slow everything down.
Most leaders know this.
They know those hours should be spent on strategy, sales, partnerships, or the work that actually moves the business forward.
But knowing doesn’t create change, capacity does.
That’s the gap I kept seeing in Louisville: talented leaders with clear vision, stuck in the day-to-day because they don’t have the support they need at the moment they need it.
Some are hesitant to invest.
“I’m not sure we can afford to bring someone on yet.” But the real cost is the opportunity they give up while trying to do it all themselves.
Growth doesn’t stall because the business lacks potential.
It stalls because the leader is stuck carrying all the weight.
The shift happens the moment you stop asking, “Can I take this on?” and start asking, “Is this the best thing for me to be doing?”.
There is extraordinary talent around the world: people who can own the operational work, the administrative load, the recurring tasks that keep leaders in place rather than in motion.
When you give the right work to the right people, the whole system moves faster.
Your best energy goes where it matters most.
Your calendar stops fighting your goals.
Your business starts compounding again.
The work you keep is the growth you delay. The work you let go is the growth you unlock.
That’s what I took away from the Small Staff Forum, and a reminder for anyone trying to scale something bigger than themselves.
